Euro-Cycles is a Tunisian manufacturer of bicycles. While it is assembling more electric bicycles, these still seem to be a small portion of their sales as of 2025, so we exclude them.

Societe Industrielle is a Tunisian provider of gas, electricity, and water meters. While they do make some revenue from LED light bulbs, it is not a large part of their business and the products they make for electricity distribution are for low voltage use-cases, so not for expanding the electrical grid

Assad is a Tunisian battery manufacturer of starter batteries for cars and boats. While batteries are a climate solution, it's when they are used for energy storage to replace fossil fuels. While they do generate some revenue from recycling batteries (which is awesome), they generate most from making generic vehicle batteries.

One Tech Holdings is a Tunisian electronics conglomerate. While they do make some products for the electrical grid, the majority of their revenue comes from traditional electronics manufacturing like circuit boards.

Societe Tunisienne de Verreries is a Tunisian manufacturer of glass bottles. While high performance glass windows are a climate solution as they help better insulate buildings, glass bottles are not.

Umeme Limited is an electrical company in Uganda that specializes in constructing things like substations and high voltage electrical towers that are key for expanding the electrical grid

Metal Fabricators of Zambia generates most of its revenue from making copper wires for transmitting power, enabling the expansion of the electrical grid.

Copperbelt Energy is a Zambian utility that largely serves the mining business. While it does have a solar and biodiesel plant, it generates the majority of its power from thermal sources like coal and gas, leading us to exclude them

Masimba Holdings is an engineering company that works on a wide variety of projects in Zimbabwe. While they do work on mass transit and electricity transmission projects, this continues to represents a small fraction of their revenue in 2025.

Amalgamated Regional is an investor-owned conglomerate in Zimbabwe. They do own a battery business, but it serves mainly automotive businesses. They do sell some solar systems, but this seems to be a small portion of their revenue.

CAFCA is a Zimbabwe-based company that makes a variety of cables with a majority of their revenue coming from cables used for electricity transmission, a key precursor for the electrification of everything and the switch away from fossil fuels.

While RioZim does explore for some critical minerals like copper, it generates a majority of its revenue from gold, which is not a critical mineral for the energy transition.
