They offer refurbished smartphones. And they enable apartment dwellers to purchase community solar, again true in our 2025 review.

SA Energisme is a French company that helps buildings and companies automate energy performance in real time, thus reducing their energy costs and emissions. They also offer smart grid software services for energy providers to better optimize their systems.

Groupe Okwind is a French provider of solar trackers that optimize the energy output of solar panels as well as other energy-related services

Engie is a large French utility and energy developer. While they look to aggressively be seeking to decarbonize their portfolio and engage in a number of decarbonization activities, they still generate most of their electricity from coal and gas, so we exclude them for now.

Schneider Electric is a large French multinational that touches many industries but all with the focus of improving energy efficiency particularly for the grid and building automation.

While UPERGY through its subsidiaries does provide energy storage solutions in its batteries, most of its battery solutions are for other uses like consumer electronics or security systems as of our 2025 review.

McPhy Energy is a French company that provides a range of products and services related to hydrogen fuel cells from the fuel cells themselves to storage containers to the hydrogen.

Hydrogene de France is a provider of hydrogen and fuel cells in France.

Vinpai is a French food additive company that makes a range of plant-based alternatives that reduce the need to use animal-derived ingredients in food production.

Hoffmann Green Cement makes low-carbon cement in France that can eliminate the need for the high-emissions of traditional cement.

Carbios creates enzyme based solutions to break down plastic back into its component parts so it can be remade into new plastic without a loss in quality.

Vinci is a French construction company that does make some renewable energy farms, but generated a majority of its revenue from other types of construction like airports, as of our 2025 review.

Getlink owns and operates the tunnel underneath the English Channel. While it does enable easier mass transit through that tunnel between England and France most of its revenue came from freight and individual vehicles, so we exclude them as of our 2025 review.

Imeon Energy is a French developer of solar inverters and home battery solutions.

While Lucibel does make LED lights, they are not focused on replacing energy-intensive incandescent bulbs, but instead creating high-end lighting technology such as LEDs that mimic natural daylight or light-based internet connections. Because neither solution is built to replace more energy-intensive bulbs, we mark them as "No Climate Solution"

Derichebourg is a multinational waste management company based out of France that specializes in recycling. They have many metal and battery collection sites set up throughout France and Europe and generated over half of their revenue from turning waste into usable products.

Legrand is a large French conglomerate while they generate some revenue from climate solutions like LEDs, they also generate revenue from many other products and services in the construction industry. We could not find a detailed enough breakdown, so we exclude them for now.

Alstom is a French manufacturer of railway trains most of which are used to move people, thus enabling the expansion and improvement of Mass Transit. They also make many electric train models.

Arverne Group is a French developer of geothermal energy, a zero-carbon electricity source.
