Verbio makes advanced biofuels in Germany that use agricultural waste to make fuels that can replace fossil fuels.

While Deutsche Rohstoff does explore for some critical minerals, principally copper and lithium, it generates a majority of its revenue from oil and natural gas, so they are excluded.

Siemens is a very large conglomerate with headquarters in Germany. While it does work on some climate solutions such as electric mobility, it generates a majority of its revenue from its other business lines and is therefore excluded.

Fernheizwerk generates 100% of its revenue from selling District Heating to residences and buildings in Berlin. While it still primarily uses fossil fuels for this heating, it is a far more efficient use of energy than individual heating of spaces.

Bike24 is a German biking company that owns many cycling brands, including e-bikes, an important climate solution. But they do not distinguish in revenue on their e-bike division so we exclude them for lack of information.

Fox e-mobility is a German EV producer that made a small EV in the early 2010's and is looking to come out with a second version.

Ari Motors makes small electric cars and delivery vans that are more economical than traditional EVs for certain use cases.

Sono is an EV pure play that builds EVs with integrated solar PV.

hGears is a German company that generated over half of its revenue from building electric mobility drive systems for electric cars and two-wheelers and electric tools that replace the need for fossil fuels in things like weed wackers and lawn mowers.

While STS provides covers for electrical batteries, it generates most of its revenue from non-climate solution specific automotive parts.

Varta is a German battery producer that makes many lithium ion batteries including those for energy storage, but most are for other uses like household appliances.

Manz made only 36% of their revenue from their battery and electric mobility segment in 2022, so they are excluded.

Viscom makes inspection systems for electronics systems in many industries with energy storage representing a small part of their customer base with most applications being outside of climate solutions.

Compleo Charging is a German EV charging company that installs and operates chargers across the country to make driving an EV easier.

Hydrogen Fuel and EV Charge Solutions is a pure play EV charging and hydrogen producer operating out of Germany.

Voltabox is a German company specializing in batteries for the electrification of transportation and also energy storage.

Vitesco is a German automotive drivetrain manufacturer that only made about 25% of its revenue from EV focused products, so they are excluded.

Enapter makes hydrogen generators, specializing in the electrolyzer technology, thus improving access to green hydrogen around the world.
